My career path has been a gradual building of knowledge and skills to be proficient in three areas: property and casualty insurance, commercial real estate and restaurant business brokerage (for more information, go to PaulFicalora.com) The values of planning, budgeting, executing and insuring were established from family businesses of film production and real estate property management.
My first real estate sale was to the McDonalds Corporation. Experiencing the loss from a break-in and theft of our sophisticated camera and studio equipment quickly taught me the details of commercial insurance policy coverages, exclusions and claims management.
Following the entrepreneurial business environment, I progressed to be an executive of a New York Stock Exchange public company. The challenges and needs were on a much larger scale. I opened satellite offices in a variety of major cities and learned the office leasing business from the client side. We sold financial and marketing services to restaurants, which created my admiration and respect for restaurateurs as well as an in-depth knowledge of the restaurant business.

My academic foundation is an MBA in Marketing from Babson College and a BA in Business Administration from Hillsdale College.
